The Ågelsjön is the smallest hatchet in the Hults Bruk range, designed for those who want a capable axe in the most compact format possible. Easy to carry in a backpack, it is a natural companion for hiking, camping and time spent outdoors. The short American hickory handle provides excellent control for one-handed use and allows you to work close to the material. This makes the Ågelsjön particularly well suited to preparing kindling, light chopping, carving and other smaller tasks around camp. Its compact size makes it easy to bring along when space and weight matter, without giving up the feel and function of a traditional forged axe. Balanced and responsive in hand, it is designed for controlled work rather than heavy chopping. The head is hand-forged at Hults Bruk and hand-sharpened before being fitted to its American hickory handle. Small, precise and easy to carry, the Ågelsjön is a genuine outdoor axe reduced to the essentials.

Hults Bruk axe heads are forged from customized high-quality steel, with an alloy specifically engineered for this purpose, providing exceptional strength and performance. The steel is produced completely CO₂-neutral and is fully recyclable. Each head is hand-forged using the open-die free forging method. The axe head is then hardened and tempered for long-lasting durability. With a hardness of approximately 54–56 HRC on the Rockwell scale, these axe heads offer superior sharpness and edge retention. The cutting edge is hand-ground and polished to ensure precision and reliability with every swing. As one of the final steps in the forging press, each axe head is proudly stamped with the traditional Hults Bruk mark - a symbol of quality and craftsmanship.
