Part number: 841102

The Rodga is a traditional forest axe developed for felling, limbing and general work in the woods. Its combination of a substantial head and long handle provides the power, reach and control needed for efficient two-handed work. Well suited to felling smaller trees and limbing, the Rodga delivers strong, controlled cuts while remaining versatile enough for firewood processing and other everyday forest tasks. The long American hickory handle helps build momentum through the swing and provides good leverage and reach when working around trees and timber. The Yankee-pattern head features a grind for good edge durability and clean release from the wood. Combined with the long handle, it creates a balanced and capable forest axe designed for repeated chopping and varied work in the woods. The head is hand-forged at Hults Bruk and hand-sharpened before being fitted to its American hickory handle. Powerful, versatile and traditional in character, the Rodga is a dependable working axe for those who spend their time in the forest.

Product Highlight

Hults Bruk axe heads are forged from customized high-quality steel, with an alloy specifically engineered for this purpose, providing exceptional strength and performance. The steel is produced completely CO₂-neutral and is fully recyclable. Each head is hand-forged using the open-die free forging method. The axe head is then hardened and tempered for long-lasting durability. With a hardness of approximately 54–56 HRC on the Rockwell scale, these axe heads offer superior sharpness and edge retention. The cutting edge is hand-ground and polished to ensure precision and reliability with every swing. As one of the final steps in the forging press, each axe head is proudly stamped with the traditional Hults Bruk mark - a symbol of quality and craftsmanship.
