The Arvika 5 Star is the largest and heaviest axe in the Hults Bruk range. Developed from the tradition of racing and competition axes, it combines a heavy head with a wide cutting edge and a curved American hickory handle to deliver exceptional power through the swing. The broad, Australian-inspired racing pattern is designed to remove large chips and create deep V-shaped cuts. Originally developed for demanding hardwood, the Arvika is particularly effective when working with hard, knotty or frozen timber. Its polished head and convex cutting edge help it move efficiently through the wood. The Arvika is a powerful and specialized axe that requires experience and good technique to control effectively. While closely associated with timbersports and competition chopping, its origins are firmly rooted in traditional forestry, making it equally capable of demanding felling and heavy chopping work. The head is hand-forged at Hults Bruk and fitted to a curved American hickory handle, selected to provide the strength, balance and control required for powerful swings. For experienced competition users, the edge can also be further profiled and customized for specific applications.
